TUNE IN TO THE STEDELIJK / 7 p.m. – 2 a.m.

Visit the Stedelijk during Museum Night on Saturday, November 3, for a spectacular night program! Take a Speed Tour of the collection, meet an artist from the exhibition Beyond Imagination, join an act of Parti ART COLLECTIVE, listen to Poetry Pusher, and take part in the Bathtub Curator workshop. Get your feet up off the floor to the beats of DJ collective Malawi and enjoy special Stedelijk cocktails provided by BAK. Tune in to the Stedelijk!

Blikopener Speed Tour

Take a tour of the museum’s impressive collection with the Blikopeners—young Stedelijk staffers aged 15 to 19 years old. What are their favorites? And what are yours? Turn yourself into a specialist at full speed.
Location: assemble in Gallery 0.30 on the ground floor of the historic building
Time: tours begin every fifteen minutes, starting at 7.15 p.m.; last tour at 1.45 a.m.

Meet the Artists

Stedelijk curator Martijn van Nieuwenhuyzen gets up close and personal with artists in the exhibition Beyond Imagination. What drives them? What are they trying to say in their work? And what made them choose to live in the Netherlands? Featured: James Beckett, Eglé Budvytyté, Suchan Kinoshita, and others.
Location: Gallery 1.34
Time: interviews begin on the hour starting at 8 p.m.; last interview at 12 a.m.

Workshop Bathtub Curator

The new building, known as the Bathtub, is equipped with an expansive open-plan underground gallery. What would you do with this incredible 1,100-square-meter space? Curate your own exhibition of miniature Mondriaans, De Koonings, designer trash cans, or even peanut butter. The best idea wins a bag full of books.
Location: Studios A and B (down the stairs next to the museum shop)

Artist collective pARTi created a performance especially for museumnight in collaboration with young citizens of Amsterdam. Meet again with masterworks from the Stedelijk collection.
Location & time: at unpredictable moments and surprising locations

Poetry Pusher

Tonight, the atmosphere in the intimate Appel-bar will intensify. Justin Samgar, alias the Poetry Pusher, will shake you out of your comfort zone with his fast talk and poetic wizardry.
Location: Appel-bar (Gallery 0.16).
Time: continuously from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Experimental music project VONK (Boris Bezemer en Gerjan Piksen) presents their sound and light installation: KNIPPERFLITS. Knipperflits makes you experience sound in a way you never did before. Sing along with the On and Off choir while the lights flash like crazy.
Location: in the hallway at the top of the grand staircase in the old part of the building near the Zadelhoff cafe
Time: continuously from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Music, Cocktails, and Art!

DJ collective Malawi adds musical atmosphere to the auditorium with a mix of world music, disco, soul, new wave, and house. The boys of BAK serve Stedelijk-inspired cocktails.

Zadelhoff Café

The Zadelhoff Café is open all night. It’s the ideal place to meet for a drink, chat, and have fun.
