After the museum reopens, the Stedelijk will continue the series stedelijk|gallery talks, in which well-known scientists, artists, curators, and critics organize a tour around a selection of exhibited works in the museum on the basis of their own expertise and background.

Anne Ruygt, junior curator of Photography at the Stedelijk, will give a Gallery Talk in the afternoon.

Anne Ruygt is an art historian and works as junior curator of photography at the Stedelijk Museum. As such, she has contributed to the current photography presentation in the permanent collection display. In 2010 and 2011 Ruygt contributed as curator in training to the exhibitions The Temporary Stedelijk: Taking Place, TS2: Changing Views of the Collection and Monumentalism. She also presented lectures at various events as part of the Stedelijk’s Public Program, among others ‘Exploring the Transnational’ – about her research on the work of Lothar Baumgarten. After her graduation from the Master’s program Museum Curator (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam), Anne Ruygt regularly writes about artists and exhibitions for e.g. Metropolis M, Tubelight and DH/// Magazine (publication of Stroom).
