The Stedelijk Museum is delighted to present a new series of Gallery Talks to accompany the exhibition Kazimir Malevich and the Russian Avant-Garde. The speakers of the Gallery Talks are renowned experts in the field of modern art, particularly the historical avant-garde.

During this afternoon Geurt Imanse, curator at the Stedelijk museum and co-curator of the Malevich exhibition, will give a guided tour about the exhibition.

Geurt Imanse was Head of the Stedelijk Museum’s libarary from 1981-1990, Head of Documentation and Research Department from 1990-1995, Head of Museale Zaken Department 1996-1998 and Senior Curator of Painting and Sculpture from 1998-2003. From 2003-2005 Imanse was Interim Head of Museale Zaken Department, and since 2005 Head of Collections. He organized several exhibitions at the Stedelijk Museum including Commitment, Bjarne Melgaard, Kabinet: a contemporary artists’ journal from St. Petersburg and an exhibition of the collection of Khardzhiyev-Chaga Foundation.
