AAA (Triple A) is an initiative of the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest to organize events about contemporary art and music, in collaboration with partner institutions. Triple A events take place six times per year, each covering a different theme, and include a lecture program in Spui25, concerts at the Concertgebouw and the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, and the spectacular Entrée Late Night Café with DJ sets and performances.
The Friday afternoon program, organized in collaboration with the Stedelijk Museum, is entitled Confrontations. Held in the Concertgebouw’s inspiring Spiegelzaal, these confrontations allow visual artists, curators, and critics to engage with musicians, scholars, writers, and theater professionals. Interdisciplinary at their very cores, Triple A and the Friday afternoon Confrontations create the opportunity for a variety of art and culture professionals to find the common ground in their respective practices.
