Tijdens de presentatie van Hanne Hagenaars’ boek Geen Wolk, hoe kunst mijn leven leidde, presenteert het Stedelijk Museum de performance Tennis Player 2.0 van muzikant en beeldend kunstenaar Geo Wyeth.

TENNIS PLAYER 2.0 

Tennis Player 2.0 is dead and dead in the water, boiled into a red juice.
No one knows what to do now after what happens with the fight.
Great script, excellent costumes, we make them together, we could sell them at my Aunt's crafting booth. 
She paints classy linoleum placemats because broke WASPs dig pictures of dead fish, boiling hot stuff. 
Or let the TV run, I'm going for a swim, forget about the war.
The warrior in us means we like Avirex without Auntie's dragons, fishcakes anyone. 
Deep fried swimming pool side luncheon. 
2.0 is dead, fish dead in the water, but the light breaks easy and we love a good lounge and a bright juice boiled. 
Someone fought for you.

MEER OVER DE KUNSTENAAR

Geo Wyeth is muzikant en beeldend kunstenaar. Momenteel werkt hij met muziek, performance-, installatie- en videokunst. In zijn werk zijn een aantal personages te herkennen die af en toe terugkeren, zoals Mum, Auntie, en de Tennis Player. Momenteel is Wyeth artist in residence aan de Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam en kandidaat voor een MFA aan Bard College, NY. Zijn werk is eerder te zien geweest in en op LA MOCA, the New Museum, MoMA PS1, New York Live Arts, the Studio Museum in Harlem, Boston ICA, Kate Werble Gallery, La MaMa Theater, Human Resources, the Pyramid Club, en Joe's Pub.
