One of the most cheerful artworks in the collection of the Stedelijk Museum is back: La Perruche et la Sirène by Henri Matisse. One day he was so sick that he couldn't go outside. To brighten up his white room, Matisse cut and pasted together his own dream world. All his memories of distant travels come together in a beautiful work of art.

Matisse's dream world consists of leaves, pomegranates and mermaids. What does yours look like? Let your imagination run wild and build your own dreams at the Stedelijk Museum. What are your biggest dreams? Where would you most like to spend some time? We'll be tinkering with them this vacation in the workshop in the entrance area. Are you coming too?
