Curator's talk - Yto Barrada - Bad Color Combos

We would like to invite you for a curator's talk with curator Leontine Coelewij on the new exhibition Yto Barrada - Bad Color Combos, on Wednesday Afternoon November 16 from 5 to 5.45 pm.

The talk will take place at the Teijin Auditorium. You can visit the exhibition by yourself before the talk. Bad Color Combos opens at 22 October at the Stedelijk Museum. Besides Young Stedelijk members, Donateurs and Stedelijk Circle members are also invited for this talk.

Bad Color Combos presents an overview of the recent work of artist Yto Barrada. In it, she continues to explore cultural phenomena, personal histories and natural processes. Her multidisciplinary practice includes film, textiles, photography, sculpture. In 2006, Barrada established the Tangier Cinémathèque, North Africa’s first cinema cultural center. Curator Leontine Coelewij will tell you more about the process towards the exhibition and her travels to Tangier where she visited Barrada.
