The gallery talks provide an opportunity for in-depth discussions about the exhibition with an expert. The first speaker is Karen Archey, curator of this exhibition. She will guide visitors through her personal selection of artworks
Each edition of the Municipal Art Acquisitions focuses on a different discipline. This year’s edition focuses on time-based media: artworks that last for a specific length of time, such as film and video work, performance, dance, theatre, new media, sound and internet art. The exhibition closely reflects the contemporary practice of many artists, who follow their ideas without restricting their expression to any one medium.
