The sound hunter
Discover how to produce digital and analogue sounds yourself in this workshop with sound artist Fedde ten Berge.
By interacting with eight different sound objects, you experience how sensors, microphones and small computers work. With water and a tree trunk, as well as with electromagnetic fields, feathers and snares you make sound samples. Afterwards, by transforming these sounds with a computer that is built into the sound artworks, you explore completely new sound worlds.
You discover how sound art is an art form that brings together technology and crafts. You are invited to experience the sound experimentation station (KES) individually and in a group, to learn how to combine different layers of sound to make a song. You discover the importance of listening and attention for each other while making music.
This workshop has been developed in collaboration with Kunst Centraal.
