From mid-January 2018, the Stedelijk Museum will offer Wednesday afternoon Gallery Talks for Jump into the Future – Art from the 90s and 2000s: The Borgmann Donation. Taking place in the exhibition galleries, these Gallery Talks offer various perspectives on the exhibition from curators, artists, and critics. Paula van den Bosch, art historian and artist-oriented museum curator at the Bonnefantenmuseum, will give the second Gallery Talk and elaborate on a personal selection of artworks.

The Borgmann Donation includes an extensive number of contemporary art works from the German collector Thomas Borgmann. Among the featured artists are Cosima von Bonin, Matt Mullican, Lucy McKenzie, Jutta Koether, Paulina Olowska, Wolfgang Tillmans, Christopher Williams, Cerith Wyn Evans, and Heimo Zobernig. The group of works that will join the collection of the Stedelijk consists of a donation, a purchase, and long-term loan. Jump into the Future is a large-scale exhibition that occupies all thirty of the first-floor galleries surrounding the museum’s grand staircase.

Paula van den Bosch is a Dutch art historian and an artist-oriented museum curator at the Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht, At this museum she has programmed and curated predominantly solo exhibitions, with artists including Luc Tuymans, Roman Signer, Joëlle Tuerlinckx, Patrick Van Caeckenbergh, Lily van der Stokker, Peter Doig, Pawel Althamer, Thomas Hirschhorn, Monika Baer, Laura Owens, Mai-Thu Perret, Mary Heilmann, Rebecca Morris, Ernst Caramelle. In 2016 Van den Bosch invited artists’ collective gerlach en koop to curate a collection display, which received the AICA nomination for best exhibition in the Netherlands 2014-2016. For 2018-2019 Van den Bosch, with co-curator Joep Vossebeld, is preparing solo exhibitions by Ine Schröder (1951 Heerlen - Maastricht 2014 - A posthumous collaboration), Dan Walsh (Paintings 2007-2018) and Paloma Varga Weisz.

On a regular basis, Van den Bosch contributes to the educational programs of the Maastricht Academy of Fine Art (Mafad), the Jan van Eyck Academy, University College Maastricht and the MA in Art & Cultural Heritage at Maastricht University. From 2018 to 2022, Van den Bosch acts as president of the jury of The Royal Award for Modern Painting in Amsterdam.
