About our main sponsor Rabobank Amsterdam
WHY DOES RABOBANK AMSTERDAM SUPPORT THE STEDELIJK MUSEUM?
Rabobank Amsterdam and the Stedelijk Museum share big ambitions. We both want to reach out to and inspire new and broad audiences, and grow our relationships with current audiences. As partners, we support each other in our missions, which focus on providing value. Social responsibility, accessibility, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our shared strategic goals, and deliver measurable, inspiring, and lasting results. On February 18, 2018, Rabobank Amsterdam announced the continuation of its sponsorship contract with the museum for another three years.
"As main sponsor, we focus on activities for families, and programmes designed for primary and secondary education. Museums are a great way to learn, and inspire curiosity and conversations. Rabobank gives kids who may never normally visit a museum, a chance to taste the experiences that museums offer."

The project ‘Looking Together’ (‘Samen Kijken’) was launched with partners Artis and Stadschouwburg Amsterdam. The initiative aims to bring together children and their caregivers, from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, and encourage them to share ideas about art. A variety of primary and secondary schools in Amsterdam take part in one of the educational programmes such as ‘Kijken doe je met je oren’ or ‘De Stijl Mijn Stijl’. In collaboration with the museum, the Rabobank also gives teachers throughout Amsterdam a free teacher’s pass so that they can visit the museum free of charge, all year long. The project also organises a number of meetings for teachers.
Rabo LAB, the permanent education zone, gives kids and their caregivers a fun and playful way to learn more about the exhibitions currently on show. Since 2014, the bank has helped to organise a Family Day in partnership with the Stedelijk Museum, every year. Held on a Sunday afternoon, it’s a great way for families from Amsterdam and elsewhere to drop into the museum, enjoy cool workshops and interactive guided tours.
