The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Holland Festival are delighted to present a conversation between John Baldessari, Ann Goldstein, and Rudi Fuchs.

Celebrating the spectacular premiere of John Baldessari’s work, Your Name in Lights, on the Museumplein, current Stedelijk Museum director Ann Goldstein and former Stedelijk Museum director Rudi Fuchs engage in a conversation with the artist.

Baldessari is a conceptual artist, born in National City, California. His work uses language as an artistic medium to reflect upon the cultural significance of modern and contemporary art. In the past years, his work has been celebrated in major exhibitions, including  the Tate Modern (2009/2010), and he has been awarded several prestigious prizes, such as the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement by the Venice Biennial in 2009 and the BACA International by the Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht in 2008.
