Amsterdam, October 25, 2017 – With the appointment of Ferdinand Grapperhaus as Dutch Minister of Justice and Security in the Rutte III cabinet, the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is vacant. The Supervisory Board has chosen Madeleine de Cock Buning from among its members to serve as interim chairman until the appointment of a new chair. 

The Supervisory Board will form a selection committee to find candidates for the vacancy, with the aid of an external executive search agency.

Madeleine de Cock Buning is Professor at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance, Utrecht University School of Law, and Chairman of the Dutch Media Authority (CvdM).
