Van 5 tot 7 april 2017, organiseert het interdisciplinaire onderzoeksinstituut voor de Geesteswetenschappen aan de Vrije Universiteit, CLUE+, een driedaagse internationale conferentie over het werk van de kritische theoreticus en filosoof Judith Butler, getiteld Critical Theory in the Humanities Resonances of the Work of Judith Butler. Butler zelf zal bovendien een van de keynote lezingen verzorgen en actief deelnemen aan de conferentie.
Voorafgaand aan dit programma, vindt op dinsdag 4 april een event plaats bij LIMA media art platform, getiteld THE LIMA COLLECTION: GENDER & PERFORMATIVITY. Er zullen video’s getoond worden uit de collectie van LIMA in relatie tot de conferentie. Deze avond is samengesteld door Sanneke Huisman en Christian Sancto. De conferentie wordt afgesloten op vrijdag 7 april met een performance van Johannes Paul Raether, in het Stedelijk Museum. Meer informatie over deze performance vindt u binnenkort op deze website.
