A swarm of paper moths has occupied the walls and ceilings of the museum’s galleries. Stories play an important part in the artist’s work, and he enjoys telling the anecdote of how this work came about: It began with a dream about a room full of moths, an image so powerful that he immediately wanted to materialize it as an artwork. Today, the moths – who are currently part of the exhibition Carlos Amorales – The Factory, have gone on to live their own life in- and outside the world of art. During this Sunday Seminar, Amorales will share the story of Black Cloud with the audience. After the lecture, we will visit the exhibition together with a tour guide.
