The House with the Ocean View (2002) is one of the most challenging durational performances testing human endurance. For this performance, a performer lives in the museum's exhibition space for 12 consecutive days and nights. She adheres to strict rules, including not eating, not talking and showering three times a day.

This performance will take place at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam from 5 to 16 June, as part of the major retrospective of Marina Abramović's work. The performance can be visited during the museum's opening hours.

The performance will take place in the recreated installation of Marina Abramović's original 2002 performance: three elevated Spartan-style rooms that act as sleeping, living and bathrooms, separated from visitors by ladders with knives as rungs. Young Stedelijk members are invited to connect with the performer in silence.
