Especially for our Young Stedelijk members, we are organizing a visit to the museum's Depot.

Our Young Stedelijk Members will have the opportunity to visit the museum's Depot with a guided tour.

The Depot building has total area of 9,000 m2 gross, with approximately 5,500 m2 where art is actually stored.  That space is needed because the Stedelijk Museum holds one of the largest collections of modern art in the world, consisting of more than 90,000 objects. The collection includes about 4,400 paintings, 1,650 sculptures and 620 films and videotapes; about 19,000 prints and drawings, over 11,000 photographs and over 4,000 artists' books; about 8,000 objects of applied art and industrial design (glass, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, furniture and appliances), just under 20,000 posters and about as many typographic items.

On Friday, April 21, there will be two 1.5-hour tours at 10:00 a.m. and two at 3:00 p.m.
