MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mick La Rock (Aileen Middel, Groningen, 1970) started to write her name in graffiti in the 80s. This was the time when hip hop reached the Netherlands and Europe. Mick La Rock was passionate about the culture and soon started to focus on graffiti art.
Today, Mick La Rock has a futuristic, minimalist two-dimensional and three-dimensional approach. She uses elements of graffiti tags, and turns them into abstraction, alienating their original essence and composition.
