From 20 November 2021 to 13 March 2022, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam will present a survey exhibition of Remy Jungerman (Moengo, Suriname, 1959).

On 20 November 2021 we would like to invite all our members to the opening of the exhibition Remy Jungerman: Behind the Forest.
Remy Jungerman: Behind the Forest will be focused on his artistic output of the past fifteen years, including new work created specifically for this exhibition. In his sculptures, paintings, installations, collages and screen prints, he traces pathways of pattern and imagery from Maroon culture in Suriname, the African diaspora and 20th-Century modernism.
