This is an exclusive Young Stedelijk and Soho House event.

Location
Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam
Time
Jul 6, 2021, 3.45 pm until 5.45 pm

We invite Young Stedelijk members to participate in an interactive conversation on the 6th of July with the co-curator and graphic designer of our Surinaamse School exhibition. Of course an exhibition visit is also included.

Co-curator Bart Krieger and graphic designer Serana Angelista, the new Young Stedelijk ambassador, will be ready to answer all of your questions concerning the exhibition. This event is also accessible for members of Soho House.

Surinaamse School is a celebration of Surinamese art in all its diversity and depth. The exhibition guides you through paintings from ca. 1910 until the mid 1980s, with over 100 artworks of 35 artists, and the stories that form the foundation of these works; from the imagination of Surinamese history, spirituality and the everyday life to abstract experiments and societal changes.
