From this autumn, the Stedelijk will enter into a cooperation to last several years with  the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). During IDFA on 18 and 19 November video art from the collection of the Stedelijk will be shown. These are works of art that have been purchased or acquired by the Museum in the past eight years, including works by Mark Boulos, Rineke Dijkstra, Erik van Lieshout, and Frances Stark. Come and take a look now at the movies!.

The artworks shown as part of the Stedelijk@IDFA program were purchased and acquired during the period of the Stedelijk Museum’s renovation and have therefore moved around a lot. During this period, the Stedelijk Museum presented a range of programs and exhibitions throughout the city.

Stedelijk@IDFA is a continuation of this program, with the aim of allowing audiences an opportunity to get to know the Stedelijk Museum’s collection in locations other than its own building. On this occasion, the video and film works will not be screened in the museum but in the cinema.

Program:
November 18, 8 PM
Erik van Lieshout – Commission (2011)
