Bouquet V is on display for two weeks as part of the Amsterdam Flower Salon.

De Rooij's installation Route langs 18 hoeken (Route Along 18 Corners, 1993/2010) is part of the exhibition Taking Place, which is part of The Temporary Stedelijk.

Bouquet V consists of 95 different flowers loosely arranged in a spherical shape in a cylindrical vase. As each of the flowers occurs only once in the bouquet, there is no hierarchy. No emphasis is placed on a particular color or variety, and each individual flower remains visible within the whole. Bouquet V touches on concepts such as diversity and the tension between the individual and the collective, while also investigating the boundaries of authorship. Willem de Rooij has created seven bouquet works since 2002, often incorporating a sociopolitical angle. De Rooij's meticulous descriptions of each of his bouquets make it possible for works to be constructed over and over again.
