Artists took center stage outside of museum fortifications. Throughout the city, happenings took place and conceptual artworks were being made: Daniel Buren’s posters, meant as artistic interventions, adorned the street, and playful works, such as the Christmas tree of Wim T. Schippers, placed on the Leidseplein in the middle of the summer, offered unsuspecting passersby the opportunity to refresh their belief system.
The city walk visits these historical places, brought back to life by the guide’s stories. We also reflect on the legacy of this time: what have these actions brought us today?
Groups consist of 20 people (max.).
A visit to the exhibition is not included in this walk, but upon showing your city walk ticket at the museum, you will be allowed to visit the museum free of charge. A prior visit to the museum is not necessary for partaking in the walk.
